Dr. Yuangshan (Mike) Chuang, President International
Mike, who earned his doctoral degree in computation linguistics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champain, taught the doctoral program's courses of the English Department at National Kaohsiung Normal University (NKNU) in Taiwan and has an extensive background in university administration and international management. He was Dean at Kun Shan University (KSU), advisor to Presidents at Taiwan Lions University, Open University of Kaohsiung, I-Shou University, and Tajen University, and he is Senior Advisor of the Lions Club International Foundation. These experiences are supplemented by broad skills in fundraising, accreditation, research, instruction and testing. Mike is a visionary whose aim is to provide affordable means for the development of advanced knowledge and skills for students around the world with the view of assisting them in becoming optimistic, altruistic, and knowledgeable world citizens.
Dr. Francois Victor Tochon, President
Full Professor, Research Director and Program Head in a University ranked 25th in the Shanghai World Universities rankings, Francois Victor founded Deep University, to create a network of pocket universities in which students could design their own programs and name their own degrees while benefiting from international mobility. He is at the core of an international network of university professors and researchers who aim at preparing 22d Century wisdom and skills through hybrid courses for transdisciplinary team collaborations and autonomous projects in the direction of Earth goals and humanitarian aims. Prof. Tochon has two PhDs, and a strong international reputation as a researcher on a deep approach to Education. He has published 39 books and more than 230 scientific articles and chapters in 14 languages and has been a Visiting Professor in 20 countries. He received the 2010 Award of Best Review of Research from the American Educational Research Association (AERA). Dr. Christian ALIN, Emeritus Professor at the University of Lyon1, France, graduated of Physical Training Teacher High School. He got the “agrégation” of Sport and Physical Education (the highest selective exam to be recruited as a teacher) and chose teacher education and higher education. After passing a PhD in Educational Sciences, he specialized inside of an anthropological and semiotic approach about teacher and or trainer analysis of practices. Dr. Marianne (Mimi) Bloch is Professor Emerita of the Departments of Curriculum and Instruction and Gender and Women's Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She did her Ph.D. at Stanford University and she was post-doctoral fellow at the Laboratory for Comparative Human Development, Harvard University. She is an internationnally reknown expert in early and elementary education, gender issues and development, research and evaluation, local and international; theory, research, policy, curriculum and evaluation. As a Professor in Early Education and Elementary Education, she taught graduate and undergraduate courses including Theory and Research in ECE, Reconceptualizing Early Childhood Education, Foundations of Early Childhood Education, also Culture, Curriculum, and Instruction: Global and Local Differences; Directed SHAPE tutoring service learning program; Planned and directed 'Global Studies of Teaching and Curriculum' graduate program (part of International Studies of Curriculum and Pedagogy Doctoral Program); affiliated faculty in African Studies, European Studies, CREECA, South Asian Studies Program, Latin America and Central and Iberian Studies program. Lu-Chang Chang is coordinator of the Lions Clubs International MD300 in Taipei and Lion Quest Chairperson, Lion Quest being the Education Section of the Lions Clubs International. In the Lions Clubs International, he was previously the 2007-2008 PDG of 300A1, 2008-2009 Secretary of MD300, and DGEs Chinese Group Leader.
Dr. Jianlin CHEN is a Professor at Shanghai International Studies University (SHISU) where he heads the research program of graduate studies in theory and practice of Foreign Language Education and Language Educational Policy. He has an MA. in Descriptive and Applied Linguistics (University of Essex,UK) and a Ph.D. in English Language Education (SISU,China). Prof. Chen Jianlin worked on different issues in foreign language education related to curriculum development, education technology, web-based foreign language teaching and learning, teacher development in foreign language education, CALL course design, etc. With a 15-collection TV Program of language education, around 10 books and some 50 articles and book chapters to his credit, Prof. Chen Jianlin has also been Visiting Professor in several universities in China and America. Among his books are:Organization and Management in English Language Education; Theory and Methodology in Foreign Language Teaching Research; The Integration of Computer and Networks into Foreign Language Curriculum. His TV works “English for Primary School Pupils” shown on CCTV 2 (2004-2005) received the 2005 Award of first prize of Best TV Education Program from the China TV Educational Research Association (CTVERA). Since 2011, he has been a vice-president of China CALL.
Ihsan Colak Graduated from Istanbul University, School of Political Sciences. Received Master’s degree from same university with the thesis of; “Establishment of the ideology of Turkish Revolution and Recep Peker.” After living and working in Balkans and Caucasus for a couple of years, received second Master’s degree from Indiana University. In 2011 received his PhD degree with the dissertation of “Secularization of the Muslim Mind: Defining the Muslim Reformation in 19th Century Russia.” Published number of papers and a book titled A Muslim Scholar at the Dawn of Modernity: Shihabuddin Marjani. On the other side worked at various institutions as language lecturer and external language expert for Defense Language Institute. Developed printed and online language materials. Currently works at Columbia University.
Dr. Zuleyha Colak, New York, USA is Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the Turkish Program at Columbia University (New York), since 2010. She is Rector's Advisor on Tochon's Deep Approach Application at Suleyman Shah University in Istanbul. She received her B.A. in Arabic Language and Literature from Istanbul University (1998). She holds two masters’ degrees, one in comparative literature in Ottoman and Arabic Literature in Marmara University, Istanbul (2000), and the other in Central Eurasian Studies/Turkish studies at Indiana University (2003). She has a Ph. D. degree with a focus on Ottoman Language and Literature at CEUS, Indiana University-Bloomington. She worked as a Teaching Specialist at the University of Minnesota in Global Studies and the Institute of Linguistics English as a Second Language and Slavic Studies between 2005-2010. Dr. Manuel Fernández Cruz graduated in Teachers' Training, Pedagogy, and his Ph.D. is in Sciences of Education. Dr. DING Liming born in 1967, Ph.D.in English language & literature, is a professor working in Sanming University, Fujian Province. His research addresses issues in learning, literature, and problems solving both in English learning and in British writers. His education includes: bachelor degree in English education from Huaibei Normal University in 1991; master degree in English education from Tianjin Foreign Studies University in 2005, and Ph.D. from Shanghai International Studies University in 2011. He has published over 30 research papers, three books. As backbone members he won the third prize in The 13th Jiangxi Province Social Science Contest. He has hosted 4 funding projects, and as the third member, participated in a project granted from the Ministry of Education of P.R.China and 6 provincial projects. Dr. Inseok Kim graduated from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies with a BA in English Language and Literature in 1980. He holds an MA degree in the field of TEFL at Southern Illinois University and in Bilingual Education and Applied Linguistics, respectively, a doctoral degree in Applied Linguistics at Teachers College, Columbia University. He taught at Brown University for a number of years and was thereafter a visiting scholar to MIT and Harvard for a year each. He is currently Professor of ESL and Applied Linguistics at Dongduk Women's University in Seoul, Korea. His major research interests have been in second language acquisition, multimedia-assisted language learning/teaching, and design and developments of multimedia English contents. He published a dozen books on English language teaching/learning and multimedia contents developments. He also published a large number of articles on Multimedia and English Education in the Korean as well as international journals. He is currently President of Asia-Pacific Association of Multimedia Assisted Language Learning and Chairman of Program Development Committee of National Jechu English Education Center. Dr. Ching-Li LEE, Kaohsiung, Taiwan
He is Past International Director of the Lions Clubs International (LCI) and currently Trustee of the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) Board of Trustees. He is a very successful businessman in the house construction enterprise and has been a lion for more than 40 years. Taiwan under his leadership made the most donations to the Lions Clubs International Foundation in 2014-2015. He also succeeded in serving as Chair of the Executive Committee for the First Lions Golf World Championship that was held in Kaohsiung, Taiwan on February 22-27, 2016. He is optimistic, altruistic and knowledgeable for helping the Lions Clubs International and the Lions Clubs International Foundation with humanitarian services for the world.

Dr. Shirley O’Neill is Associate Professor of Language and Literacies Education and Coordinator of the Applied Linguistics Discipline Group in the School of Linguistics, Adult and Specialist Education at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. Her research focuses on teacher cognition and classroom discourse, TESOL, language assessment, interactive/multimedia technologies for language learning, and service learning. She has extensive experience in research and evaluation, assessment and teaching/teacher professional development in language education, including the early years. She has worked in schools in Australia and the UK, and in statewide school review, language curriculum and policy evaluation, and assessment of student performance. Her book Teaching English as a second language, OUP, with A, Gish is widely used in preservice teacher education in Australia and internationally; other recent publications include: The language teacher professional, Fostering positive cross-cultural attitudes through language teaching, and Relational concepts: Language, thinking and pedagogy. Since 2003 she has convened international conferences on pedagogies and learning, and established the International Journal of Pedagogies and Learning and the International Society for Leadership in Pedagogies and Learning Inc. As a foundation member of the International Network for Language Education Policy Studies (INLEPS) (Shanghai, 2013), she has facilitated two conferences on deep languages learning.
Dr. José Luis ORTEGA MARTIN, University of Granada, Spain
Principal Lecturer at the University of Granada (TEFL), was Vice-Dean in charge of International Relations from 2004 to 2008, Head of in-service training at UGR (2011-2015), head teacher of a private school in Granada from 1994 to 2003, now in charge of the international relations of the Master on Secondary Education (University of Granada) and Secretary of the Local Organizing Committee of the International Learning Conferences held in Granada (2005) and in Montego Bay (Jamaica, 2006), the International Social Science Conference held in Granada in 2007 and the International Conference on Diversity (2016).
